Taiyaki Fish Chopstick Rest

These ceramic chopstick rests are playful for all.  Each piece is meticulously handmade in Mizunami Japan, a city that is part of the Mino Province historically renowned for producing Japanese mino ceramics (Mino Ware).

Taiyaki is a popular Japanese fish-shaped cake (pronounced tie-YAH-key) originating in the Meiji era.  It is a beloved, crispy street food snack filled traditionally with red bean paste. 

These tiny ceramics are multi use and can be used as a fountain pen rest, matcha stick rest, kitchen decoration, and collector of small things.
